Many years ago in Iran (at least since the beginning of the 1979 revolution), the plastics injection moulding machine manufacturing industry was familiar with big and beloved names such as: Singer (founded by the late Tatavoos Yarijanian), Zohrab, Musa Khanian, etc., and the machines known as 190 grams and its manufacturing was founded by the late “Ahmad Ramin Kia”. At that time, perhaps the machines known as 190 grams were considered the best plastics injection moulding machines.
However, in those years, a passionate and creative young man who was studying road and construction at the University of Science and Technology, faced with a small piece of plastic part and after studying the market, came to the conclusion that why not produce that piece? At that time (according to him; he was neither familiar with the plastics industry nor had the capital to do it) the only thought that came to his mind was to order a mould and inject this piece with a vertical piston machine (known as wheel driven machines). The production of this piece became an introduction to the manufacture of a plastic injection machine called “Poolad” which was the first to use a number of innovations. (The above image is a memorable image of the first injection moulding machine made under the name of Poolad).
After the first machines were built and entered the market, the creator of this engineering invention, patiently listening to criticism, suggestions, and feedback from customers, did not sit still for a moment to create an industry for several generations, in a way, out of Poolad and its name (according to him). For this purpose……
Before anything else, let me explain why we decided to write this article in an unconventional manner (at least for this media with more than 3 decades strict manager), and emphasize that this article is not an advertisement report, nor is anyone even aware of its writing or publication.)

Article writer says: About 10 days ago, the manager of the Plastics Industry Magazine called me at home at around 11 pm (when it is impossible to call anyone) and woke me up with the help of my family. While making compliments and apologizing for calling at this time of night, he said, “So-and-so, and if he has phoned late in the night and if he has done something wrong”. He explained: “I am calling you, because, since I cannot contain my joy, I must share my joy with someone who has been familiar with my feelings for years.” I had no choice but to be patient and listen to what he wanted to say. This call lasted about an hour, and the summary was this.
So-and-so, do you know Engineer “Sirous Bakhtiari“? I said yes, yes. He is one of your beloved ones and he continued that since I heard about the air attacks around his resident, I have been worried about him and that is why, after years of his advice to visit a plastics part moulding complex that was being created in the city of Parand, So I decided to go with a friend to visit this complex. As a result, what I saw and what I heard and what was being developed made me so happy that I could not contain myself. I asked why? And the answer was: The friend for whom the competitors made a lot gossips and lies so that he was not available for a while due to the problems made for him, so and so, now he has created a giant complex that is unbelievable, not only for me who am familiar with the plastics industry, but also for the friend who was with me and took a film to shoot and show the Europeans with their noses up and say (maybe) do you have a similar example in Europe? And then he continued his story, which was mentioned in the introduction: I had said that:
After building the first machines and entering the market, the creator of this engineering invention, patiently listening to criticism, suggestions and feedback from customers, did not sit down for a moment to create an industry for several generations from now till next his generations its name (according to him). For this, it was necessary to prepare his children for the second generation of now, which resulted in sending them (Amir Ali and Hessam) to continue their studies in Canada and himself going to China and Taiwan. On the one hand, he developed his creativity by learning thoroughly and collaborating with the Borche factory, which is one of the best manufacturers of injection molding machines in China, and on the other hand, he completed the plans for what should happen in the future. The result of these efforts is currently: factories with an area of about 71 thousand square meters and about 700 employees with a daily production of more than 120 tons of various types of products and very well-known customers. What excited me was the existence of an innovative mechanism for counting products, weighing them, producing data sheets with QR Codes for changing locations in the warehouse, a monitoring room that is unique in similar industries in Iran, so that the conditions of each machine and each hall can be seen in real time, a unique facility hall with commendable order, a well-equipped laboratory, two halls for producing light and heavy products, and a disciplined office hall located between these two halls. And all of this is the result of a strong will in a man who, despite some inhumanities, kept himself away from all the margins that were created for him. Perhaps, describing what I saw would take up too much space, so any reader who is interested in knowing more about this collection that is a source of pride for the Iranian plastic industries would do well to click on this “link” to access the information they need. For me as a compatriot who has devoted his life for the country and this industry, I can only say: Sirus, thank you and don’t be tired.
