Biesterfeld Spezialchemie (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-spezialchemie.com) has expanded its distribution portfolio with the addition of Rampf Polymer Solutions’ (Grafenberg / Germany; www.rampf-gruppe.de/en) electro casting resins. Effective immediately, the distributor will be marketing the latter’s PU and epoxy electro casting range in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Baltic states.

Rampf’s electro casting resins portfolio consists of both two-component polyurethane systems, sold under the “Raku-PUR” brand name, as well as one-/two-component epoxy systems, sold under the “Raku-Pox” trademark. Both families comply with ratings such as UL 94 V0 and UL 764 B (RTI), Biesterfeld said, adding that some of the grades within the portfolio have an extremely high thermal resistance of up to RTI 160 °C. The materials are used in applications in the automotive, energy, automation and household goods segments, among others.
