TEKNI-PLEX: Unifying aerosol and pump dispensing activities under Action Technology brand / Move to enhance ease of doing global business
US packaging company Tekni-Plex (Wayne, Pennsylvania; www.tekni-plex.com) is bringing together its aerosol and pump dispensing manufacturing activities under its Action Technology brand. Until now, the company has been operating under both the Action Technology and American Gasket and Rubber (AGR) brand names. Tekni-Plex said the move was designed to make it easier for customers around the world to do business, regardless of their geographic location.
Action Technology has five production plants in Belgium, Italy, the USA and China, as well as a contract manufacturing facility in Argentina, and said it is the only supplier that can standardise rubber and plastic components across the globe. This, said Jim Carosella, vice president and general manager for Action Technology in the USA, is of particular benefit to multinational brands that market their products in many different countries and regions.
The company said its punched rubber and plastic gaskets are used to dispense thousands of food/beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, industrial and household products worldwide every day.
